Während der meteorologische Frühlingsanfang auf den 01. März festgelegt ist, variiert der Tag für den kalendarischen Frühlingsanfang. Von kalendarischem oder astronomischem Frühlingsbeginn spricht man, wenn Tag und Nacht genau gleich lang sind. Die sogenannte Tag-und-Nacht-Gleiche wird in diesem Jahr am 20. März auftreten. Somit beginnt am 20. März dann auch der astronomische Frühling.
